Hello forum,
I want to create some video tutorials on implementing some functionality for my niece but the software i have used to capture videos is awful.
Im using a Mac and would like to produce HD videos with capturing mic audio does anyone have any suggestions on software ?

Camtasia 2 or ScreenFlow are really nice professional screen recording apps. But, you could also try QuickTime.

Thanks screen flow looks like a very nice tool
ScreenFlow is my personal favorite, but you'll be spending a pretty penny to get it. It's totally worth it, but if you're just wanting to make a few videos and it's more of a one-time thing, then I would recommend something a little cheaper.

Yeah, ScreenFlow is nice, because it is self-contained for every step of the process.
BUT, if you have another editing suite, or are OK editing it in iMovie, do have a look at using QuickTime. It's free as part of macOS. File > New Screen Recording. It can record mouse clicks as well.
