Actors become blurry AFTER publishing

Most of my actors look fine after publishing, but some appear blurry/grainy (maybe even pixelated) once published.

Their resolution looks fine in preview and even when testing on my IOS device.

I also have Resolution Independence checked on.
If anybody knows why, a response is appreciated. Thanks!

    Step 1: turn resolution independence off. With pretty much all devices out there being retina-displays, this setting is completely unnecessary.

    Same on the publishing portal: Legacy Retina Independence turned off.

    Step 2: make sure all graphics are high-enough resolution.

    Step 3: no more problems.
