Hi everybody I've published my first game, Soccer Runner, and I'm starting wondering how does the app marketing system work. Of course my game is very simple and without any particular selling point and it's quite normal that downloads are not so many. I've made some mistakes in uploading images and in key words (and soccer runner are 2 words super used in the markets). But... there are plenty games like soccer runner in the 2 main markets: easy games without any particularity... and I see from 10000 to 50000 downloads!!!
I can understand if you can use a Brand (Messi, Sonic, Super Mario, etc), but how they can achieve these results with simple games not so far from the one I published?

many factor including mainly Timing and Luck
having the keywords you want to rank for in your google descry and iOS keyword tab.
So your goal is to appear next to specific apps that could lead to downloads for you.
Getting a review of an online page, use prmac for press releases do paid marketing campaigns based on CPI or simple clicks if you think your conversation rate is good.

Thanks, but what i have seen is that it i search for runner or for soccer the app does not appear in the list! I think due to low number of downloads... so it seems that too used and common keywords are not good too...
