Apple Speeds Up iOS Approvals - May 2016

Supposedly approvals may now be as fast as a day or two!

This is worth noting if you were about to release an app and thought you still had 7-9 days up your sleeve to prepare media releases, social media announcements and a YouTube promo. Now it's better have everything organised before you submit.

That is great news! How many times have you not submitted a game, waited a week just to get a message that it didn't pass review :)

This part was a little worrying:

"Apple is also considering charging developers for their apps to be featured or get prominent placement in the App Store search results"

If this happens all the big companies will simply buy up the featured slots, at the moment even a small indie can win a featured slot simply on the merit of their game, but if Apple start charging that whole dynamic could change.

@Socks Yeah that bit sent a chill down my spine. Someone like @kirafu with a great game wouldn't have a chance of being featured by Apple. Steve would roll over in his grave if he knew some of the stupid things Apple are doing lately. If he was still running the ship the "Jolly Roger" would be flying and execs would be walking the plank! :#
