Image Problem

Im Having a problem adding my images to scene. When I try to drop the actor into my scene it makes the image much smaller then I created it. Then the image becomes blurry when I make it bigger in the scene. I'm using pixlr to create the images and then cropping them in preview before uploading them to Gamesalad. Any advice on how to fix this?
